Marshmellos ("we", "us") provides transparent email infrastructure: API, dashboard, templates, and delivery visibility. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Marshmellos is operated from Italy. Product development is in Tel Aviv.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: email, name, password (hashed), and profile details you provide when registering or in settings.
- Usage data: sending activity, domain and template configuration, API usage, and event data (sent, delivered, opened, clicked, bounced) necessary to provide the service and show you live statistics.
- Technical data: IP address, browser type, and similar data for security, abuse prevention, and operation of the service.
3. How we use it
We use your data to provide and improve the service, show you real delivery and event statistics, enforce security and fair use, and comply with law. We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising or unrelated marketing.
4. Legal bases (GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or UK: we process your data where necessary for performance of our contract with you, for our legitimate interests (e.g. security, product improvement), or with your consent where required. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, data portability, and to object. You may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
5. Other regions
We aim to respect applicable law globally. For California residents (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell personal information; you have rights to know, delete, and correct. For other jurisdictions, we apply the same principles of transparency and user control where the law requires.
6. Retention and security
We retain data as long as your account is active and as needed for legal and operational purposes. We use industry-standard measures to protect your data. Recipient and content data of emails you send are processed to deliver the service and show you events; we do not use that content for other purposes.
